Creative Play Session

“A Creative Play Session” is a creative process (not therapy) that allows individuals to engage in artistic activities as a means of self-expression, emotional exploration, and personal growth. It provides a safe and non-judgmental space for individuals to convey their thoughts, feelings, and experiences through various creative mediums, such as painting, drawing, sculpting, writing or other artistic forms.

During a Creative Play Session, individuals are encouraged to freely engage with the art materials and techniques that resonate with them. The focus is on the process of creation rather than the final product. Lori may guide the session by offering prompts or themes, but the emphasis remains on the individual's unique self-expression.

The benefits of Creative Play Sessions are diverse and experiential. Some clients don’t want "therapy", but they want to experience the creative process; they are seeking facilitation as they explore and express as they are freed, enlightened and empowered.

This approach allows individuals to access and release emotions that may be difficult to articulate verbally. Through the act of creating, individuals can tap into their subconscious, gaining insights into their emotional landscapes. Additionally, the creative process itself can be meditative and therapeutic, promoting relaxation and stress reduction.

Its emphasis on creative exploration and personal agency aligns with a compassionate approach that acknowledges the uniqueness of each individual's experiences. The focus does not need to be about processing verbally; instead it is very experiential in bringing more internal awareness, which strengthens intuition.

When working with Lori in one of her Creative Play Sessions she provides a space for self-discovery and emotional release. This approach promotes healing and personal growth. Its non-judgmental and client-centered nature fosters a sense of empowerment and validates the significance of individual narratives. Ultimately, Creative Play Sessions contribute to improved emotional well-being, self-awareness, and a deeper connection to one's inner world.

Creative Play Sessions are not therapy and are not exactly an art class; art techniques are explored in the form of experimentation and play. Some have been known to evolve their expression into works of art on their own. However, that is not the goal and no art experience is necessary. Clients should come with an open mind and a playful spirit to deepen in self-awareness. Please wear comfortable clothing, as it can get messy!”
