Mindfulness

Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to the present moment without judgment. It is a way of intentionally bringing our awareness to our thoughts, feelings, sensations, and surroundings. Mindfulness can be practiced in formal meditation sessions or in everyday activities.

There are many benefits to mindfulness, including:

  • Improved sleep

  • Increased focus and concentration

  • Enhanced emotional regulation

  • Improved relationships

  • Increased self-awareness

  • Greater compassion for oneself and others

Mindfulness can be beneficial for people of all ages and backgrounds. It is particularly helpful for people who are struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, or chronic pain. Mindfulness can also be helpful for people who want to improve their focus, concentration, and emotional regulation. Lori incorporates mindful practices into each session with all of her clients and encourages continuing the practices and ritual of mindfulness in between sessions. It brings more connection to the experiences of everyday life.
